Katherine Belt

Katherine Belt is working on her BFA as a full-time art student, doing freelance art, illustration, and crafts in her spare time. She has been both drawing and writing since she was a child, and greatly enjoys expressing her thoughts, emotions, and dreams via her work. 

Katherine also possesses a BA in Religious Studies, where her studying focused primarily on comparative world religions. This fascination and love for religion, along with psychology and philosophy, plays heavily in her work which often features themes of dreaming, mythology, and archetypes.

She loves artwork from the Baroque and Romantic periods, but is also very fond of more modern movements such as Japanese animation, Pop Surrealism, and intuitive, spiritual artwork. Although her all-time favorites will always be Art Nouveau and Stained Glass.

While she also may enjoy contemplating and tossing around lofty ideas, Katherine is actually a down-to-earth person and loves spending spare time chatting with friends, watching movies, and playing the occassional video game.
